JAMMU, Dec 6: MLA Bahu, Ch. Vikram Randhawa conducted an extensive tour of Valmiki Colony, Gandhinagar. He was accompanied by senior officials from the PDD Department, including the Executive Engineer, AEE, and JE, along with Mandal president, Rahul Kumar and prominent local dignitaries. The visit aimed to assess on-ground issues and directly engage with residents to understand their long-pending grievances.
During the tour, residents highlighted serious concerns related to the poor condition of the electricity network in the locality. They pointed out outdated and unsafe PDD wiring in several lanes. MLA Randhawa also personally observed that multiple electric poles are completely damaged, posing a threat to public safety and leading to frequent power disruptions that have troubled families for months.
Responding immediately, MLA Randhawa issued on-spot directions to the PDD officials to take up the matter on priority basis. He instructed them to conduct a detailed technical assessment and start repair as well as replacement work at the earliest possible time. He stressed that matters concerning public safety must be addressed without delay to ensure a secure and reliable power supply.
Residents expressed gratitude to the MLA for personally visiting Valmiki Colony, Gandhinagar, listening to their grievances attentively, and initiating prompt action. They appreciated his committed and proactive approach toward resolving long-pending local issues and bringing accountable governance to their doorstep.
Randhawa reiterated that improving essential infrastructure, ensuring citizen safety, and delivering timely grievance redressal remain his top priorities for Valmiki Colony, Gandhinagar, and the entire constituency. He assured the public that development works will continue with full dedication and transparency.
