SRINAGAR, Dec 5: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader and MLA Pulwama, Waheed Ur Rehman Parra, today wrote to the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, urging him to grant timely approval to the age relaxation proposal for Jammu and Kashmir Combined Competitive Examination (JKCCE) 2025 aspirants.
The move has come a day after the Government stated that the proposal has already been sent to Raj Bhavan for clearance.
In his letter, Parra said he was writing “on behalf of countless youngsters of J&K who have long been preparing for the JKCCE 2025, which is scheduled to take place on 7 December 2025, only two days from now.”
He noted that although a formal proposal seeking age relaxation for candidates-who, he said, lost valuable preparation years due to circumstances “entirely beyond their control”-has been submitted, no final decision has been conveyed so far.
The J&K Government, according to him, has repeatedly stated that the proposal is complete in all procedural aspects and now awaits only the LG’s consideration and approval.
“Yet, no final decision has been communicated. This prolonged silence has generated uncertainty and significant distress among aspirants who have held on to their hopes for a fair chance,” Parra wrote.
