RAJOURI, Dec 3: In a moment of immense pride for the district Police Station Thannamandi has been declared the `Best Thana’ in Jammu & Kashmir and has secured an impressive 14th position nationally in the prestigious survey conducted by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India.
This remarkable achievement highlights this Police Station’s superior standards of policing, efficient service delivery and outstanding community engagement.
Thannamandi Police Station successfully fulfilled every parameter prescribed by the MHA, including crime prevention, grievance redressal, public accessibility, infrastructure development, prompt responsiveness and overall public satisfaction. Records were meticulously maintained—both online and offline—and the comprehensive digital documentation of criminal histories significantly strengthened the station’s performance in the survey.
The recognition marks a major milestone for Rajouri Police and reflects the result of proper supervision, strategic guidance, and coordinated efforts under the leadership of DIG Rajouri–Poonch Range, SSP Rajouri Gaurav Sikarwar, and SDPO Thannamandi Parupkar Singh. Their consistent monitoring, professional direction, and focus on improving policing standards played a crucial role in elevating the station’s overall functioning.
