MD NHM launches multi-prog training series to strengthen grassroots healthcare

JAMMU, Dec 1: National Health Mission (NHM), Jammu & Kashmir today announced the launch of a comprehensive multi-programme training series aimed at enhancing frontline healthcare delivery across the Union Territory.
This strategic initiative, being implemented under the guidelines and directions of the Mission Director NHM Baseer ul Haq Chowdhary( IAS) focuses on strengthening early identification, timely response, and accurate reporting under various national health programmes.
The program was inaugurated in presence by Dr Abdul Hamid Zargar Director Health services Jammu and Dr Poonam Sethi Director Health and Family Welfare at Conference Hall, Udoyog Bhawan, Rail Head Complex, Jammu.
National Tobacco Control Programme, National Programme for Prevention & Control of Deafness, National Viral Hepatitis Control Programme, National Programme on Climate Change and Human Health, Prevention, and Control & Management of Snakebite Programme would be the focus for the month of December.
The multi-programme training initiative is being carried out under the guidance, motivation, and strategic directions of the Mission Director, NHM, with his visionary leadership continues to strengthen public health delivery across J&K.
To ensure systematic and impactful implementation, NHM J&K has established a dedicated Training Cell responsible for planning, scheduling, logistics management, documentation, and seamless district-level coordination.
This programme has been designed to empower healthcare workers across blocks, PHCs, CHCs, and community levels, thereby strengthening the responsiveness, preparedness, and quality of health services for the people of J&K.
Master trainers and resource person of ophthalmology imparted the training to medical officers and health care workers.
