KATHUA Aug 24: The agitated residents of two villages of Mangtian and Dhamalpur in Mirpur area held separate protests and blocked the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway near Rajbagh today, demanding the construction of in their respective villages.
The protesters were demanding the construction of Panchayat Ghar in their own respective villages leading to traffic jam on Jammu-Pathankot National Highway for hours together.
On getting the information, a police team led SHO Rajbagh along with Divakar Singh SDPO visited the spot to defuse the tension.
Meanwhile, a FIR has been lodged at Rajbagh Police Station against the protesters for further action.
