JAMMU, Nov 29: Dr Rajiv Kumar Gupta, Professor and Head of Community Medicine at GMC Jammu, has been honoured with the prestigious BT Kannan-Omesh Bharati Oration at the 13th Annual National Conference of the Consortium Against Rabies (CARCON-25) held at Dr RPGMC Tanda in Himachal Pradesh.
A statement said Dr Gupta received the award in recognition of his three decades of dedicated work in the Anti-Rabies section of GMC Jammu.
It said Dr Gupta has earlier received the YL Vasudeva Oration (2018), FIMA (2021), FIAPSM (2023) and MNAMS (2023), and has over 150 research publications.
He was also selected as a Global Burden of Disease (GBD) collaborator by the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME), University of Washington, USA recently.
