JAMMU, Nov 29: An unidentified man was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Qasim Nagar area here today.
A male individual, aged around 32 years, was spotted in an unconscious state by some travellers near Bridge Qasim Nagar on the National Highway, who informed the police, a police official said.
Accordingly, he said, a team from Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu reached at the spot and shifted him to Government Medical College where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
The body has been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the post-mortem and identification purposes, added the police official.
Meanwhile, police have initiated inquest proceedings to further probe into the matter.
