*Dedicated workers to raise party strength: Uday Bhan

JAMMU, Nov 29: All India Congress Committee (AICC) Observer for Sangthan Srijan Abhiyan for Jammu Urban District, Rita Choudhary (MLA) today said that the process of revamping the district organizational structure of the party has been initiated and the priority will be given to the people from marginalized society, oppressed class and women by infusing functional, committed and young leadership to strengthen the party.
Addressing a Press Conference at PCC office, Jammu on the sidelines of the Sangthan Srijan Abhiyan (Structural Reformation Mission), Rita Choudhary said that as per the AICC decision, efforts were being made in a more transparent way to bring people who are committed to the party ideology, democracy and Constitution of India to the District Congress Committee leadership.
She said that she would be meeting to the senior leaders, party cadre and members of civil society of Jammu Urban district and take their view point adding that any person interested to become part of DCC can get the application form and apply.
Choudhary said that the party would give priority to youths, people from marginalized society, oppressed class, women to head the party. Besides, the AICC has decided to give more powers to the DCCs.
Earlier, she was welcomed by JKPCC working president Raman Bhalla, senior leaders Yogesh Sawhney, TS Bajwa, Ved Mahajan, Rajnish Sharma, Manmohan Singh and others.
Meanwhile, under the nationwide Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan launched by Cong Party, AICC Observer Uday Bhan addressed a press conference at Udhampur today. He stressed the need to strengthen the organization at the grassroots level and ensure that genuinely active and dedicated workers get priority in leadership roles.
During the conference, application forms were also distributed to party workers interested in contesting for the post of District president.
Uday Bhan stated that the Congress high command-National president Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in Parliament Rahul Gandhi-initiated this organizational strengthening campaign to make the process of electing district presidents more democratic, transparent, and worker-centric.
He clearly emphasized that, going forward, only those workers who are loyal to the organization, active on the ground, and consistently connected with the public will be promoted within the party structure.
Bhan further said that the future of the Congress Party depends on a robust organizational framework. Respect for genuine grassroots workers, transparency in selection, and assigning responsibility to committed leaders are the core principles of this campaign.
Former MP and PCC Observer Choudhary Lal Singh, PCC Observer Subhash Gupta, PCC Observer Satish Sharma and DCC president Vinod Sharma were also present on the occasion.
