KATHUA, Nov 27: Two motorcycle-borne masked men allegedly snatched Rs 4 lakh from a man in broad daylight outside HDFC Bank at Hatli Morh area of Kathua district today.
The victim, identified as Vinod Kumar of Kalibari, had just withdrawn the cash when the accused targeted him on the busy road.

CCTV footage shows Vinod Kumar and an associate exiting the bank with the money when two masked youths, who were waiting nearby, moved towards them.
One of the accused snatched the cash from Vinod Kumar’s hand before the duo sped away on a motorcycle towards the Sawan Chak area. The victim tried to chase the snatcher but failed to stop them.
Police reached the spot soon after receiving information and started an investigation.
“While we have registered a case, a manhunt has also been launched to trace the suspects,” a police official said.
Meanwhile, the incident has triggered fear among local residents and shopkeepers, who expressed concern over the absence of police presence in the busy market during peak hours.
