DIG reviews security preparedness in Ramban ahead of winter

RAMBAN, Nov 27: The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban Range, Shridhar Patil, today chaired a security review meeting at the District Police Office Ramban to assess the overall situation in the district and review preparations for the winter months.
During the meeting, the inputs shared by the intelligence agencies were examined and the action taken on each input was discussed in detail.
The DIG stressed strict checking of dhoks, domination of higher reaches before and after snowfall, and a through security audit of all vital installations to prevent any hostile activity.
He also reviewed mock drills and coordination among forces while discussing ongoing action against anti-national elements and their supporters.
The meeting was attended by senior officers from J&K Police, Army, CRPF, and intelligence agencies.
The DIG appreciated the synergy among all agencies and called for heightened vigilance as winter sets in.
