JAMMU, Nov 27: The Finance Department has extended the deadline for the pensioners and family pensioners to submit their digital life certificate until December 15, 2025.
A circular issued by the Department said that the extension was necessitated after it came to the fore that nearly 70,000 pensioners, out of total 2.5 lakh, were yet to submit their certificates, making them ineligible for pension from November.
It said, around 1.80 lakh pensioners have already submitted their life certificates through the special campaign launched in collaboration with the J&K Bank.
“Further extension up to December 15, 2025 is aimed at avoiding inconvenience to left-out pensioners,” the circular said.
As such, the Finance Department has advised all the pensioners to submit their life certificates to their respectively treasury of bank by the revised deadline, failing which pension disbursement for December onwards will be stopped.
