JAMMU, Nov 26: Social activist, Kuldeep Kumar Rao has appealed to the CM, Omar Abdullah, MoS PMO, Dr. Jitendra Singh and MLA Bhaderwah, Daleep Singh Parihar to create two new districts Bhaderwah and Thathri before the Panchayat and Municipal elections. In a handout, Rao stated that in Kashmir Division there are districts with hardly two or three Tehsils while in Jammu Division there are districts like district Doda having 17 Tehsils.
“So it is appealed to the government to make number of Tehsils equal in every district,” he said adding that the people in district Doda, Sub-Division Thathri have never got their genuine due share in the socio-economic and political processes after the independence of the country.
He blamed successive governments for this discrimination.
