JAMMU, Nov 23: In a joint initiative, Care Bridge Women, Child & Youth Welfare Society in collaboration with Anjuman-e-Imamia Jammu, and MEWSL (Mobilization Educational Welfare Society) organized a free medical camp for the needy section of the society.
The Camp was aimed at at providing accessible and quality healthcare services to the underprivileged and needy sections of society. The Medical camp offered a wide range of medical services including general health checkup, blood pressure & blood sugar testing, eye checkup, specialist consultations, free medicine distribution, awareness and counselling sessions.
Yudhvir Sethi (MLA East Constituency) and Sohail Kazmi (eminent journalist) graced the occasion as chief guest and special guest. During media interaction, Yudhvir said these kind of events are truly dedicated to the underprivileged and economically weak. He further assured every possible help in future for these kind of activities and suggested that drug awareness programs should also be held in different localities.
Later, Yudhvir visited Imam Bargah Sofi Shah Peer Mitha and assure that he will extend a financial help out of his funds in constructing community hall for Anjuman-e-Imamia Jammu. Ajesh Sharma Ward (Sanyojak, Ward Number 2), Adarsh Jathyar (East Mandal president, BJP), and Preeti Sharma (Mahila Morcha, East Mandal, vice president) were also present during the occasion.
Director MEWSL Sajeed Jafari said that they will continue this mission of serving people who are under privileged and needy. He further added that it’s in the prime duties of MEWSL and they will carry this legacy.
