SRINAGAR, Nov 23: Police in Budgam today attached property worth Rs 35 lakh belonging to a notorious drug peddler.
According to police, immovable property valued at Rs 35 lakh and a Maruti A-Star vehicle, bearing registration No. JK05B-4705, belonging to a notorious drug peddler in the Magam area, were attached.
“The attached property, a double-storey residential house at Mazhama, Magam, belongs to Hilal Ahmad Mir Hilal Galwan, son of Ghulam Mohammad Mir, who is involved in FIR No. 29/2020 under Sections 8/22, 29 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Magam,” police said.
Police said the investigation revealed that the accused had raised the property through “proceeds of illicit narcotics trafficking.”
“Following due legal procedures and on the basis of concrete evidence, the property and vehicle were formally seized under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act.”
