DODA, Nov 22: Police here today arrested three drug peddlers and recovered heroin like substance from them.
On the directions of SSP Doda, Sandeep Mehta, a Naka was established at Khellani, which was led by I/C PP Khellani and SHO Doda.
During Naka checking, cops intercepted a white car of Swift Dzire make bearing registration number JK06C-3363 coming from Batote and moving towards Doda. Three persons travelling in the vehicle were identified as Junaid Qayoom, son of Late Abdul Qayoom, resident of New Bus Stand Doda; Narinder Singh, son of Kushal Singh, resident of Mandole, Kastigarh Doda and Arun Singh, son of Joginder Singh, resident of Sajah Doda. During personal search of these persons, cops recovered 7 gram heroin-like substance from Junaid Qayoom, another 7 gram of the same substance from Narinder Singh and 6 gram of this same substance from Arun Singh.
After recovery of 20 gram heroin-like substance the vehicle used in the crime was seized.
In this connection, a case in FIR No. 263/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Doda and investigation started.
