Absconder held after seven years

JAMMU, Nov 20: Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested an absconder who had been evading authorities for more than seven years in a case registered at Police Station Arnia.
The accused, Saif Ali of Kool Kalan Arnia, was wanted in FIR number 12 of 2018 registered under sections 278, 337 and 338 of the RPC, a police official said.
But he had been constantly evading his arrest, he said, adding that non-bailable warrant under section 512 of the CrPC had also been issued against him by the JMIC Bishnah.
The warrant was executed today with the arrest of the accused by a team of Police Station Arnia, led by SHO concerned, Inspector Dilawar Khan, he said.
