UDHAMPUR, Nov 17: Preeti Khajuria, District Chairperson of Inner Wheel District 307, helped flood-affected families in Pathi village and Bharat Nagar Ward No. 5 Udhampur.
These people had not received any relief even after more than two and half months since the rains washed away their belonging and homes. Houses of these poor families in Pathi village were completely destroyed, and they were living in other people’s homes.
Preeti Khajuria provided them shelter home material. The people of Bharat Nagar explained that they live on state land and receive no Government assistance.
Preeti Khajuria listened to the people’s problems and took the initiative to help them, providing relief materials to the 100 families. Relief materials included iron tin sheets for houses so that they could repair their roofs. Besides this, they also provided blankets, ration consisting of rice, flour, pulses and warm coats.
On this occasion, Preeti Khajuria said that Inner Wheel is making a significant contribution to society through social work. “In this difficult time, Inner Wheel District 307 is striving to provide some support to the affected families,” she added.
