GRP conducts luggage checking drive at Jammu Railway Station

JAMMU, Nov 17: Government Railway Police (GRP) Jammu, along with other paramilitary forces’ personnel, today carried out a random inspection of the Jammu Tawi Railway Station. During the two-hour long drive, they checked the luggage of all the incoming and outgoing passengers.

A Railway Police official said the drive was part of the ongoing precautionary measures being taken by the Police and Railway authorities to ensure the safety of passengers in view of the arrest of eight people, including several doctors, in connection with planning major attacks in the country.
Neither anyone was detained nor was anything suspicious recovered during the drive, said the GRP official.
