DODA, Nov 16: Police here today visited the family of martyr Constable Abdul Qayoom, son of Sher Mohammad, resident of Haddel, Gandoh, who laid down his life in the line of duty fighting terrorists in the year 2000 in Baramulla.
Acting on the directions of SSP Doda, Sandeep Mehta, cops from PC Gandoh, led by the IC PC Gandoh and under the overall supervision of SP Operations Doda, visited the martyr’s residence to assess the welfare and wellbeing of his family.
During visit, Doda Police presented a token of respect to the family and reviewed their requirements to ensure timely assistance, guidance and continued support under project SAVERA-a flagship initiative dedicated to the sustained welfare of Police martyrs’ families.
Doda Police reaffirmed that it stands firmly with the families of its fallen heroes.
A handout stated that these outreach visits help maintain a close and meaningful connect, ensuring that the families receive all necessary support and care.
