AKHNOOR, Nov 15: Senior BJP leader and District Development Council (DDC) member, Pandit Suresh Sharma here today inaugurated a new 63 kVA power transformer in Badkhar village of Juthal Balsaro Panchayat, Chowki Choura.
The transformer has been installed at a cost of Rs. 6 lakh and it was a long-pending demand of the local residents.
The villagers were facing persistent low-voltage issues for a long time and during a grievance camp, they requested Sharma for installation of a transformer.
Taking immediate note of their difficulties, Suresh Sharma announced the upgrade, which has now been successfully completed today.
Addressing the gathering, Suresh Sharma said that development works are being carried out based on the needs and demands of the people.
He added that in the last four years, several villages in Blocks Maira Mandrian and Chowki Choura suffering from low-voltage problems have been provided new transformers.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion were BJP Mandal president, Ashok Kumar Sharma, former Sarpanch Ramesh Lal, Mandal general secretary, Rakesh Kumar, Ajay Kumar, Pandit Satpal, Rakesh Kumar, Om Prakash, Bhushan Kumar, Ajay Kumar and others.
