JAMMU, Nov 15: MLA Bahu, Ch. Vikram Randhawa, today kick-started a series of important developmental works in Upper Sunjwan, Panchayat of Bahu constituency, giving a decisive push to long-awaited infrastructure improvement in the area. These initiatives reflect the Government’s commitment to strengthening basic amenities and improving the quality of life for local residents.
The works include construction of lanes, upgradation of drains, and tiling of key stretches, aimed at ensuring better connectivity, improved sanitation, and enhanced public convenience. Once completed, these projects will greatly ease the movement of residents and help maintain cleanliness and drainage efficiency throughout the locality.
All works have been undertaken under the Rural Development Department (RDD) in the presence of BDO, Sachin Abrol, officials from the Department, and local residents who expressed satisfaction and welcomed the long-pending developmental push.
Speaking on the occasion, Ch. Vikram Randhawa said that the people of Upper Sunjwan had long been demanding quality development, and the start of lane, drain, and tile works today marks a significant step in fulfilling those expectations. He stated that improving basic infrastructure is essential for cleaner surroundings, smooth mobility, and better daily living for every family in the area.
He further added that BJP is fully committed to delivering meaningful development at the grassroots level, ensuring that every Panchayat, including Upper Sunjwan, receives focused attention and timely works. Randhawa assured that all ongoing and upcoming works will be executed on priority and with complete transparency for the welfare of the residents.
The event ended with locals thanking the MLA for initiating multiple works that will directly benefit hundreds of families and bring lasting improvement to the region. These projects represent another milestone toward building a cleaner, safer, and well-developed Upper Sunjwan Panchayat.
