KISHTWAR, Nov 13: A residential house was completely gutted here today in a devastating fire in Balna, Keshwan area.
Sources informed that the gutted house belonged to Sajjad Hussain Mir, son of Abdul Majid Mir, resident of Balna, Keshwan.
Though all the belongings kept in the house were reduced to ash but there was no loss of life or injury to anyone in the incident.
Senior Congress leader and former minister, G.M Saroori has expressed deep sorrow and concern over the tragic fire incident and has demanded a Fire Station at the area along with immediate relief including temporary shelter, ration and other essential supplies to the victim family without any delay.
He urged the CM, LG’s Administration and Fire & the Emergency Services Department to immediately sanction and operationalize a Fire Brigade Unit at Keshwan.
