JAMMU, Nov 13: Aimed at ending the long-pending water shortage issues in his area, MLA Jammu West Arvind Gupta today inaugurated a vital PHE pipeline project at Ward No. 28 in Bakshi Nagar.
The project, taken up under the Public Health Engineering Department, will cover two major segments, Bakshi Nagar (Ward No. 28) and Ward No. 26, with a total cost of Rs 67 lakh.
The new water pipeline will extend from the Bakshi Nagar Sub-Division to Ram Mandir, ensuring regular and adequate water supply to hundreds of households that have long faced irregular and insufficient water availability.
Speaking on the occasion, Arvind Gupta said, “People of Bakshi Nagar have been facing severe water supply problems for years. Today, with this project, we are fulfilling our promise to provide every home with access to clean and uninterrupted water. Development with dedication and accountability is our priority.”
“Our focus remains on grassroots development. We are determined to make Jammu West a model constituency where every locality enjoys quality infrastructure and essential services,” he said.
Among others who attended the event included mandal president Kushant Prajapati, senior BJP leader Atul Bakshi, PHE officers XEn Tajinder Singh, AEE Pankaj Mohan, JE Shubham Singh Baloria, BJP General Secretary Mohit, Ajay, Anand and Indresh.
