KISHTWAR, Nov 10: The 350th annual Urs of Hazrat Shah Asrar-ud-Din Sahib was celebrated here today wherein a large number of devotees visited the shrine of the saint which symbolizes shared cultural heritage and interfaith harmony in the region.
District administration Kishtwar in collaboration with Auqaf Islamia Kishtwar has put best arrangements in place to facilitate the visiting devotees at the shrine.
Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma extended his heartfelt greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of the Urs.
In a message, he emphasized the importance of preserving the region’s rich spiritual and cultural heritage, which continues to inspire unity and devotion among the people.
The DC has also directed all relevant departments to ensure necessary facilities including uninterrupted power supply, safe drinking water, essential supplies, security, transport and sanitation for the devotees.
Additionally, a control room was set up by the district administration, in coordination with the Police Department and District Information Centre Kishtwar, to assist the pilgrims throughout the Urs celebrations. A help desk was also established by the District Administration for the convenience of the pilgrims.
Apart from this, Duty Magistrates were deployed at various locations and at the venue to ensure hassle-free, smooth and safe celebration of the Urs.
