JAMMU, Nov 8: PG Department of Commerce, University of Jammu, in collaboration with Ayaan Edu Skills, organised a two-day simulation-based GST workshop, an initiative designed to turn theoretical learning into real-world experience.
Held under the guidance of Prof Umesh Rai, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu, the workshop brought together enthusiastic commerce students eager to explore the world of Goods and Services Tax (GST) through interactive simulations and live practice sessions.
The event began with a warm welcome note in the presence of Rajesh Kumar, Chairman of Ayaan Edu Skills, Prof Jeevan Jyoti, Head of Department of Commerce, and Dr Sunil Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce and coordinator of the event.
Over the course of two days sessions led by Divya Rani, GST Faculty at Ayaan Edu Skills immersed participants in hands-on exercises from GST registration and return filing to compliance management through an innovative simulation platform.
More than 50 students gained a firsthand understanding of how GST functions in the professional world, building both confidence and competence for their future careers. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by the Ayaan Edu Skills team, along with the distribution of participation certificates, presentation of mementoes, and acknowledgement of Aydemy Foundation, the event’s sponsor.
Students expressed immense appreciation for the session, calling it “an eye-opening and practical learning experience” that bridged the gap between classroom theory and industry reality.
