RAJOURI, Nov 8: The police claimed to have arrested a youth along with a small quantity of heroin in Rajouri area today.
Reports said a police party from of Police Station Rajouri during routine patrolling in Khandli area intercepted one person who was coming towards Jawahar Nagar on-foot and tried to hide on seeing police party.
During questioning he disclosed his identity as Pardeep Singh Sumberia, son of Bishan Singh, resident of Ramkot, Kathua at present Jawahar Nagar, Rajouri. Upon checking one black polythene containing heroin/narcotic substance weighing about 2 gms was recovered from his possession.
In this regard a case FIR No. 554/2025 under relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rajouri. Accused has been arrested and investigation is underway.
