JAMMU, Nov 7: Government of India has ordered significant administrative postings with two IAS officers of the AGMUT cadre appointed to key positions under the Central Staffing Scheme.
According to two separate office memorandums issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Amit Sharma, IAS (AGMUT-2012), has been appointed as Director of Census Operations/ Director of Citizen Registration for Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. He will serve in the position at Deputy Secretary level on a full-time basis up to December 31, 2025, with tenure extendable as per rules. He has been directed to assume charge immediately after being relieved by the parent department. His appointment was recommended by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
In another order, Bhupinder Kumar, IAS (AGMUT-2011), has been posted as Director in the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Delhi, also under the Central Staffing Scheme, for a tenure of five years or until further orders. He, too, has been instructed to join the new assignment immediately upon relieving from his current duties.
