POONCH, Nov 2: A two storey residential house along with a shop were gutted in a fire incident here today at Fatehpur area of Tehsil Mandi.
Official sources said that fire broke out in a residential house after which locals along with Fire and Emergency Services personnel and cops joined to douse the blaze.
Before the fire was put off, it had caused massive damage to the first and the second storey of the Kucha house along with a shop wherein everything inside the house and the shop reduced to ash.
The fire hit house belonged to Ulfat Hussain, son of Mohd Talib, resident of Ward Number 7, Fatehpur.
SHO Mandi, Sham Lal informed that the apparent cause of the fire was leakage in cooking gas cylinder. Tehsildar Mandi, Ashfaq Hussain informed that a team will visit the spot tomorrow to access the losses after which relief under SDRF shall be provided.
