63 new dengue cases reported

JAMMU, Oct 31: Sixty-three new dengue cases were reported across the Jammu and Kashmir, taking the total number of infections this year to 2,707.
As many as 354 tests were conducted on October 30. Of the new cases, 40 are males and 23 females, including 11 children and 52 adults. Jammu reported highest 23 cases, raising its total to 1147. Udhampur followed with 18 new cases and Kathua 15, taking their cumulative tally to 363 and 736, respectively. Three cases were reported from Samba, 2 from Rajouri and 1 case each from Doda and other states/UTs.
So far, 23,256 dengue tests have been conducted this year-slightly lower than that recorded during the same period in 2024, whereas the total infections remain significantly lower than last year’s 4,852 cases.
Hospital data shows no new admissions today while as three patients are still under treatment in various hospitals.
Health officials have urged people to remain alert, prevent mosquito breeding, and adopt protective measures such as using repellents and keeping surroundings clean.
