JAMMU, Oct 31: A five-day capacity-building workshop on ‘Designing Assessment Tools as per NEP 2020’, organized by the IFIC Wing of DIET Jammu concluded here today at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Canal Road, Jammu.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Sindhu Kapoor, Joint Director, SCERT Jammu Division and under the supervision of R.G Dogra, Principal, DIET Jammu.
The workshop sensitized 50 teachers from across Jammu District to design competency-based assessment tools grounded in bloom’s taxonomy, holistic progress and learning outcomes.
Over five days, the participants explored the NEP 2020 vision of assessments, school based assessments, practiced creating rubrics, checklists and digital tools and engaged in hands-on sessions on Holistic Progress Cards (HPC) and inclusive assessment practices.
The valedictory function was graced by Dr. Jyoti Parihar, Principal, Government College of Education, Jammu, as chief guest; Chief Education Officer Jammu, Ajeet Sharma was guest of honour and Anita Koul, Principal GGHSS Canal Road, Jammu as special guest.
In her address, Dr. Jyoti Parihar commended DIET Jammu for bridging the gap between policy and practice.
R.G Dogra, Principal DIET Jammu also spoke on the occasion.
The workshop was coordinated by Dr. Romesh Kumar, HOD DIET Jammu, assisted by Monika Gupta and Suniya Mehta, lecturers DIET Jammu as Co-Coordinators, while teachers Akash Khajuria and Sanjay Lal extended technical support throughout the programme.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks and certificate distribution.
