ST organises cultural event ‘The Childhood Celebration’

JAMMU, Oct 31: A colourful cultural event titled “The Childhood Celebration” organized by the Samooh Theatre (ST) was held here today.
The programme featured around 30 young participants from different age groups who showcased their hidden talent through captivating dance performances on popular Dogri, Punjabi and Hindi songs.
The hall resonated with energy, innocence and the pure joy of childhood.
The event was conceived and directed by Dr Sudhir Mahajan, a veteran theatre director, playwriter and founder of Samooh Theatre.
Priya Sethi, former Minister, graced the occasion as the chief guest, while advocate Chander Mohan Sharma, was the guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Sethi appreciated Samooh Theatre’s long-standing efforts in promoting regional culture and Dogri language and lauded the children’s delightful performances.
Advocate Sharma described the celebration as a “beautiful initiative reflecting the purity, curiosity and laughter of childhood.”
Prominent choreographers Shashi Gupta, Gurvinder Kour, Ritu Dogra, Anjana Padwal and Priyanka Thakur were felicitated for their outstanding contribution to performing arts.
The event was anchored by Dr Meetu Meenia, stage managed by Arun Sharma.
Vote of thanks was presented by Anita Chandpuri.
