JAMMU, Oct 29: IAS officer Rahul Pandey, who has earlier served in various key positions in Jammu and Kashmir, including Director Information of the UT, has been appointed as Special Secretary in the State Tax Department of Uttar Pradesh.

Pandey, an Uttar Pradesh-cadre officer, was previously posted as District Magistrate of Hathras.
In Jammu and Kashmir, he has also served as Deputy Commissioner Kathua.
