RAMGARH, Oct 29: As part of the celebrations marking the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Samba Police organized a series of events across the district to commemorate National Unity Day.
The programs aimed to honour the “Iron Man of India” and reinforce the spirit of unity and national security among citizens.
Under the jurisdiction of Police Station Ramgarh, a special lecture on the theme “National Security” was held at Keso Manhasa village. The event was graced by Retired District & Sessions Judge Subash Chander Gupta as the chief guest, and Avinash Choudhary as the guest of honour.
In his address, Justice (Retd) Subash Chander Gupta emphasized that national security extends beyond border protection. “True security lies in the social, economic, and cultural integration of our nation. When citizens remain educated, aware, and united, the foundations of a secure and progressive nation are strengthened,” he said. He also highlighted Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s pivotal role in the integration of India and his enduring contributions to nation-building.
Guest of honour, Avinash Choudhary, in his remarks, stated that national security is not solely the responsibility of the armed forces or police, but a shared duty of every citizen.”The strength of our nation depends on a disciplined, aware, and committed youth. The younger generation must stay away from drugs, remain alert to the growing threats of cybercrime and online fraud, and use technology in a constructive manner,” he said.
Students from Government High School Keso, AMP School, and several local dignitaries participated in the event.
Sanjeev Gupta, Ex Sarpanch Kuldeep Verma, and Narinder Singh, social activist also spoke on the occasion.
