UDHAMPUR, Oct 28: Police foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling in Ramnagar and rescued nine animals, which were being smuggled in load carrier from Kulwanta to Kashmir.
Police team of Police Station Ramnagar intercepted the Mahindra Load Carrier bearing registration number JK14J-3924 which was found transporting 09 bovine animals in a cruel and inhumane manner.
The smugglers, upon noticing the police, fled from the spot leaving the vehicle behind. Police rescued the animals and seized the vehicle
In this regard, a case FIR No. 165/2025 U/S 223(a) BNS, 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Ramnagar.
