Police secure accused’s conviction in NDPS case in Samba

BARI BRAHMANA, Oct 28: The Jammu and Kashmir Police here have secured the conviction of an accused in a case registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Police Station Bari Brahmana.
A police official said on August 24, a case FIR number 119/2025 was registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana following the recovery of 4.16 grams of heroin from the possession of one person, identified as Sagar Rana of Barot Banal, Tehsil Fatehpur, District Kangra (Himachal Pradesh) at present near Railway Station Bari Brahamana.
He said during the course of investigation, the Investigating Officer of the case completed all the necessary legal formalities and produced the case challan before the CIM Court in Samba.
After judicial process, the court convicted the accused and was sentenced to pay a fine of Rs 8000, he said.
