Rekha Gupta joins Chhath devotees for Kharna Puja

NEW DELHI, Oct 26: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta participated in the Kharna Puja on the second day of Chhath Mahaparva today, emphasizing the festival’s significance in promoting unity, harmony, and cleanliness.

In a statement, CM Gupta said, “Chhath Mahaparva conveys a message of unity, harmony, cleanliness, and devotion. It’s not just a religious ritual, but a shining symbol of Indian culture.”

Gupta highlighted the Delhi government’s efforts to organise Chhath Puja on a large scale, ensuring public participation and traditional dignity. “For the first time, the government is organising Chhath Mahaparva on such a large scale in the national capital,” she noted.

The Chief Minister prayed for the well-being and prosperity of Delhi’s residents, saying, “May the Sun God spread light of happiness, health, and prosperity in everyone’s life, and may Delhi remain bright, clean, and prosperous forever.”

The Chhath Puja celebrations are expected to conclude with traditional fervor, with devotees gathering at various water bodies to offer prayers to the Sun God. (UNI)
