JAMMU, Oct 17: Burglars have decamped with gold ornaments and cash from the house of Ashok Kumar in Durga Nagar Sector 1 during broad day light on Thursday when the family members were not present in the house.
An FIR has been registered by Police Post (PP) Chinore in this regard on the basis of the complaint filed by the family.
Police said its team led by in charge PP visited the area for on spot investigation and they have arrested some suspects in this regard and they have been put under sustained questioning.
Family members said that the burglars strike in the house after breaking the AC window and decamped with 200 grams of Gold and Rs five lakh in cash when they were not present in the house.
Meanwhile, Durga Nagar Welfare Committee led by Sanjay Ganjoo, All Displaced Kashmiri United Front (ADKUF) president, P L Sudeshi and its other leaders who visited the area have shown serious concern over the burglary during the broad daylight and urged the police to arrest the burglars and recover the stolen items. They demanded a thorough and time bound investigation in the matter and ensure the proper security of the area.
