JAMMU, Oct 16: The Department of Electrical Engineering at Government Polytechnic College Jammu organized an expert lecture on “Solar Emerging Technology and Green Energy” under the dynamic leadership of Talet Mahmood Shawl, Principal and Sanjay Gupta, Head of Electrical Engineering Department.
The session was delivered by Loveneesh Talwar, Head of Department, Electrical Engineering, Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET). He discussed the significance of solar power and various green technologies including Zero Energy Buildings, Biodegradable Cups and Straws, Electric Vehicles, and biofuels, stressing their role in reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainability.
Talet Mahmood Shawl appreciated the department’s initiative and urged students to embrace clean energy technologies. The event offered valuable insights into solar system design, operation, and career prospects in renewable energy.
The session was coordinated by Electrical Engineering Department faculty members, with participation from Inderjeet Singh, P. K. Angral, Ankush Langer, Devika Bhardwaj, Vandana Chib, Itika Sharma, Vicky Sharma, Moninder Singh and Rakesh Khullar. A token of appreciation was presented to Loveneesh Talwar by the Principal.
