KISHTWAR, Oct 16: District Magistrate Pankaj Kumar Sharma alongwith SSP Naresh Singh conducted a thorough inspection of the District Jail here today.
The inspection was conducted in the presence of ADM Pawan Kotwal; Joint Director Planning (CPO Akhil Thakur and Tehsildar Nirbhay Sharma and other concerned officers and officials.
The inspection aimed to oversee logistics and security provisions within the jail premises.
The District Magistrate interacted with inmates, listened to their grievances and assessed their living conditions.
The inmates raised several demands upon which on the spot directions were issued to concerned officers for prompt redressal of their genuine demands.
The District Magistrate assured the inmates that their concerns would be addressed promptly and emphasized the implementation of all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as per the jail manual.
He directed the Jail Superintendent to ensure that meals are prepared with due care and proper hygiene in the jail kitchen.
