JAMMU, Oct 15: Ram Paul Kapoor, a retired J&K Bank officer and proud son of the soil, brought glory to India and Jammu & Kashmir by representing the country at the 40th Budapest Hungary Mega Marathon.
The prestigious event featured around 40,000 athletes from 120 countries. Competing in the 10K category, Kapoor finished with an impressive time of 52 minutes and 59 seconds, securing 4th place among the top five finishers. This marked his ninth appearance at international marathons, showcasing his dedication and endurance on the global stage. The J&K Masters Athletics Association, led by Chairman B.R. Chandan, President Abdul Quim, General Secretary Tarsem Lal Basotra and Vice President Sudesh Kumari, congratulated Kapoor on this remarkable achievement, applauding his efforts in bringing laurels to the region and inspiring budding athletes.
