JAMMU, Aug 11: Former Union Minister and MLA Prof Chaman Lal Gupta today said that Government has failed on various fronts. This has been the charge of not only of opposition but also the leaders of Congress too are confirming that the coalition has failed to deliver because of NC.
Interacting with the activists of his Jammu West constituency and others, Prof Gupta asked them to enlist the problems and issues which can be taken up in the coming session of the State Assembly.
He said that the Congress and NC are equally responsible for the prevailing mess all round. The Congress is trying to wriggle out by shifting the blame on their partner. Prof Gupta also said that both the ruling parties have failed to keep up not only the election promises of 2008, even words given on the floor of the Assembly have not been honoured.
These also pertain to empowering of the basic democracy. So much so the elections of Municipal Corporation and that of civic bodies were not conducted and the Panchyats are in limbo.
On other fronts the problems pertaining to the common man are mounting. Chaotic conditions prevailed even in the matter of electricity supply, drinking water, supply of rations to the consumer, repairing of the roads and drains are the biggest proof of the coalition.
The ensuing session would be the last one of the Assembly and the ruling leaders would have to face the music despite their trying to shift the blame of failures on each other, he added.
