Srinagar, Oct 12: The two-day Kashmir Literature Festival 2025 concluded today at SKICC, bringing together some of the most distinguished voices from across the country.
The festival was inaugurated by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, who, in his ceremonial address, highlighted the importance of truth and authenticity in historical narratives.
The event featured eminent speakers and thought leaders, including Kanchan Gupta, Vijay Dhar, Neerja Mattoo, Lt Gen (Retd.) D. P. Pandey, Abhijeet Iyer Mitra, Col. Ajay Raina, Raja Muneeb, Rouble Nagi, Tehmeena Rizvi, Aarti Tikoo, and several others.
The festival provided a vibrant platform for dialogue on literature, history, politics, culture, and contemporary thought.
Through a series of panel discussions and interactive sessions, the festival explored a wide range of subjects spanning literature, history, culture, geopolitics, society, and the arts.
Organizers said the conversations reflected the festival’s core vision: encouraging informed dialogue and fostering a deeper understanding of the region’s evolving literary and cultural landscape.
Adding to the creative spirit of the event, the festival also hosted book launches, art showcases, and school performances, giving young minds a platform to engage with the world of ideas and imagination.
Evenings at the festival were enlivened with soulful performances.
Noor Muhammad captivated the audience with his mystical recital on the first day, while Massrat-un-Nissa enthralled the gathering with her graceful and evocative performance on the second day.

Organized by the Srikula Foundation, the festival concluded on a note of reflection and hope, reminding attendees that literature is not merely about words, but about preserving the collective soul of a people.
