JAMMU, Oct 10: Aimed to promote Sanskrit language, Mahant Rohit Shastri, president of Shri Kailakh Jyotish avim Vedic Sansthan Trust met with Divisional Commissioner, Ramesh Kumar, here today.
During his meeting, a comprehensive discussion was held on the promotion and preservation of Devvani Sanskrit in the region.
Shastri briefed the Divisional Commissioner about the various Sanskrit education programs, Vedic schools (Pathshalas), religious publications and social awareness initiatives being run by the Trust.
He stated that the Trust aims to revive India’s ancient Vedic traditions and take the Sanskrit language to the masses.
Ramesh Kumar appreciated the initiatives of the Trust and described Sanskrit as the soul of India’s cultural heritage.
He emphasized that such efforts are extremely important for the revival of Sanskrit in today’s time and assured that the administration is willing to extend its support in this direction.
On this occasion, secretary of Jammu Club, Gaurav Gupta and Kuldeep Singh were also present.
