Srinagar Oct 7: Security forces today recovered arms and ammunition in the Chowkibal area of Kupwara from a suspect whose father and brother are terrorists based in Pakistan.
An official said that the recovery was made by police on disclosure of one Shakeel Ahmad Khan, Imam by profession, son of Ameerudin of Marsary Chowkibal Kralpora in Kupwara district.
The ammunition recovered includes one Pistol, 10 Pistol rounds and 100 AK rounds.
The recovery was made at Warsun Kralpora in Kupwara district on the disclosure of Khan. Amieerudin Khan who figures in the grey list of security forces had exfilterated to Pakistan in 1992 with Al-barq terror outfit and has not returned so far. Besides brother of Shakeel Ahmad Khan, Fareed Ahmad Khan had also ex-filtrated in 1993 with Al-barq outfit and didn’t return till date and is figuring in grey list.
