UDHAMPUR, Oct 6: An absconding drug peddler, who was evading his arrest for the last five years, was apprehended by Police and now lodged in District Jail Udhampur on direction of court.
The accused, namely Rajinder Kumar alias Nittu, son of Bansi Lal, resident of Sewna, Tehsil Chenani, District Udhampur, had been absconding in connection with case FIR No. 58/2020 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act registered at PS Chenani. An arrest warrant under Section 299 CrPC was issued by the Additional Sessions Court Udhampur in order to bring him to justice.
Acting on the warrant, the police team of Police Station Chenani, led by SHO Raghuvir Singh, successfully apprehended the absconder and produced him before the court.
