KISHTWAR, Oct 5: Body of a woman missing from last month was today retrieved by the cops here from river Chenab at Dul Hasti Dam site.

As per police sources, the deceased was identified as Shareefa Begum, wife of Mohd Rafiq, resident of Dool and she was missing from September 18, 2025 and a missing report regarding the same was registered on the very next day at Police Post Dool.
After retrieving the body, cops took it to District Hospital Kishtwar for legal formalities after which the same was handed over to the family members for last rites.
Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
