RAMBAN, Oct 4: After the recent heavy rains and flash floods, MLA Ramban, Arjun Singh Raju conducted a public outreach programme at Sanasar to assess damage and relief provided to the affected population.
He met with a large number of residents from Sanasar and surrounding villages, many of whom shared their struggles as the rains had damaged homes, washed away roads and affected daily life.
The MLA Raju patiently listened to people’s concerns wherein many villagers spoke about the sudden collapse of walls, water-logging and inaccessibility due to road blockages.
“Our house walls cracked and all our stored grains and bedding got soaked,” said Shanta Devi, a local.
“There’s no proper road left to reach the main town,” added Mohammad Latief, a farmer.
Raju assured them immediate steps to address the crisis and also promised follow-up camps and on-ground reviews in coming weeks to monitor rehabilitation work.
“We are with the people of Ramban and every affected family will get the support they deserve,” he maintained.
