BHADDU, Oct 2: Pt Vasdev Samark Samiti, Bhaddu celebrated the 152nd birth anniversary of Pt. Vasdev, a prominent social reformer and educationist of the area whose legacy continues to inspire generations.
The event was graced by Ashoke Kumar Sharma (Retd SSP) as the chief guest, while eminent personalities including Sudesh Spolia (Ex-Sarpanch), Jagdish Srivast, and O D Manhas (Retd Principal) shared the dais. A large gathering of residents from Bhaddu and adjoining areas witnessed the solemn occasion.
The celebration commenced with the poojan and garlanding of the statue of Pt Vasdev at GHSS Bhaddu. The students of various schools presented vibrant cultural programs, adding color and charm to the event.
Distinguished speakers highlighted the life and contributions of Pt Vasdev and his team, who dedicated their lives to the noble cause of promoting education in Tehsil Billawar.
As part of its annual tradition, the Samiti honored meritorious students with scholarships and awards to encourage academic and extracurricular excellence: The event concluded with a vote of Thanks by president of the Samiti.
