Hindi Diwas celebrated at Kartar Public School

Kathua, Sept 29: Kartar Public School, in collaboration with the Rashtriya Bhasha Prachar Samiti, celebrated Hindi Diwas with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The central attraction was a poetry recitation competition based on the theme “National Unity and National Language Hindi.”
The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a welcome address by Principal Harpreet Kaur. Students Bharti Hans (Class 7) and Kanika (Class 9) impressed the audience with their graceful classical dance performances.
Sixteen participants from reputed schools, including Delhi Public School Rajbagh, D.A.V. Collegiate School Lachhipur, Mount Litera Zee School Kathua, Holy Presentation Convent School Rajbagh, and Kartar Public School, recited powerful poems on national integration and the significance of Hindi.
The occasion was graced by chief guest Bharat Bhushan, MLA Kathua, and guests of honour Ajay Goyal (Chairman, Aero Plast Group of Industries) and renowned poet Dr. Nirmal Vinod. Special guest Prof. Bharat Bhushan Sharma, General Secretary, Rashtriya Bhasha Prachar Samiti (J&K), also attended.
Judges Dr. Mukesh Kumari and Balvinder Kaur declared the winners: Prachi Sharma (Kartar Public School) – First Prize (Rs 5100), Chandni Kumari (D.A.V. School) – Second Prize (Rs 3100), Aaratrika Sharma (Kartar Public School) – Third Prize (Rs 2100) and Kanika Sharma (Kartar Public School) – Consolation Prize (Rs 1100) Ajay Goyal personally awarded the cash prizes. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Vice-Principal Dhamanpreet Kaur.
