Jammu, Sept 29: The Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ICT Academy, Tamil Nadu, marking a significant step towards enhancing academic excellence, skill development, and industry readiness.
ICT Academy is an initiative of the Government of India, established in collaboration with State Governments and industries. Functioning as a not-for-profit society under the Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) model, the Academy is a pioneering venture dedicated to training higher education teachers and students, thereby preparing industry-ready graduates and nurturing the next generation of educators.
The MoU, effective from September 29, 2025, to September 28, 2030, establishes a collaborative framework for cooperation in areas including investment promotion, sustainable development, and regional economic growth. The partnership will leverage the core competencies of both institutions to introduce progressive initiatives benefiting students, faculty, and the wider academic community of CLUJ, comprising five constituent colleges and postgraduate schools.
The signing ceremony was presided over by Vice-Chancellor, Prof. K. S. Chandrasekar, in the presence of Registrar, Ankur Mahajan; Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. Twinkle Suri; Controller of Examinations, Prof. Ranvijay Singh; Director Extension and Outreach; Director IQAC; MoU Implementation Officer; Deans of various faculties; and Principals of the constituent colleges. ICT Academy was represented by its Chief Executive Officer, V. Srikanth, and Senior Manager, Lovetesh Kumar.
On this occasion, the Vice-Chancellor constituted a committee with Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. Twinkle Suri, as Convenor to oversee and monitor the effective implementation of the MoU. This collaboration is expected to create new opportunities for innovation, professional development, and capacity building, thereby advancing the welfare of the student fraternity and contributing to regional growth.
